Congratulations to the Pretoria Cochlear Implant Unit team!

A fantastic milestone was reached on 17 September, with the successful completion of the team’s 15th Cochlear™ Nucleus® Nexa™ surgery.

A special congratulations to Dr Elnemarie Burden for performing the surgery and to Riana de Necker for conducting the intra-operative testing.

The Nucleus Nexa offers the latest generation of cochlear implant technology, designed to support a streamlined surgical experience while providing advanced options for hearing rehabilitation and future technology upgrades.

Here’s to many more successful surgeries and helping more patients connect to the world of sound!
