Today marked the beginning of a life-changing hearing journey for one very special young patient.

Dr André van Straten, ENT Specialist, together with Marge van Dyk, Cochlear Implant Audiologist, successfully implanted their 7-year-old patient with a Cochlear™ Nucleus® Nexa™ System — the world’s *first smart cochlear implant.

We are incredibly proud of the team, and even more excited for this young patient as they begin a future filled with more sound, connection, and possibility.
