Hi everyone. We weren’t originally going to make a post about this because we didn’t want to make a scene, but with rumours now circulating about some of the stolen devices being sold nearby, we felt it was important to say something and ask the community to please keep an eye out.

Our studio, Avada Tattoo Artistry, was unfortunately broken into during the early hours of the morning on the 22nd.

A few items were stolen, including:
• An iPad Pro first gen (12.9inch) with a cracked screen
• Our Rain101 WiFi router
• A broken Bishop rotary wand tattoo machine in it’s original pouch that was packed out on the table for repairs
• Our Capitec card machine

They also took John’s skateboard from above his bench. Thankfully this was later recovered from one of the suspected thieves by Zibar Security, who we honestly can’t thank enough for their help, support, and for looking out for the community.

The police came through to open a case, take statements, and fingerprints were collected. We’re hopeful that something comes from it.

We’d really appreciate it if the community could help keep an eye out for any of these items or any suspicious attempts to sell them. All devices have been locked or deactivated where possible, but any information could still go a long way in helping us recover our belongings and identify who was responsible.

If anyone has any information at all, no matter how small, please reach out to us privately or contact the local authorities.
