As July comes to a close, I've found myself looking back over the journey we've shared together.

We began by exploring the difference between knowing ourselves and living from that understanding.

From there we moved into acceptance, recognising that life becomes lighter when we stop fighting what we cannot control. Acceptance gradually made room for trust, not because life became easier, but because we learnt that we could meet it without abandoning ourselves.

Then came self-understanding.

I've realised that when we truly begin to understand how we're designed to move through life, acceptance becomes gentler, trust becomes steadier and living in alignment starts to feel less like hard work and more like coming home.

Perhaps that's what "Designing Life from the Inside Out" has always meant to me.

Not becoming someone new.

Remembering who we've been all along and having the courage to live from that place.

As August begins, that's the journey I'm continuing to explore, and I'd love you to join me.

The more I experiment with living in alignment, the more I notice something fascinating.

My body knows before my mind does.

When I say yes to something that isn't really mine, I feel it.

When I ignore what I already know to be true, I feel it.

When I make a choice that genuinely aligns with who I am, I feel that too.

For years I ignored those signals because I believed my mind should always have the final say. Now I've learnt that my body is often my first source of wisdom.

Perhaps that's why understanding ourselves matters so much. It's not simply about thinking differently. It's about becoming familiar with the feeling of being ourselves.

A small experiment: Before making your next decision, pause for thirty seconds. Instead of asking, "What should I do?" ask yourself, "How does each option feel in my body?"

What I've been noticing...

Many people spend years trying to discover their purpose, yet I've begun wondering whether purpose isn't something we find at all.

What if purpose is our very existence on this earth? The whole reason we are here is to live a life that is fully ours, not someone else's.

The experimentation with Human Design in my life has allowed me to begin uncovering that truth. Layer by layer, I’ve let go of expectations, old identities and beliefs about who I should be. I’ve started recognising what genuinely energises me, what drains me and where I naturally contribute without forcing myself to fit.

For me, that’s what self-understanding has become. A way of returning to what has always been true, rather than trying to become something new.

Understanding our own energy gives us something incredibly valuable. It gives us permission to stop measuring ourselves against someone else's way of moving through life.

That’s when acceptance begins to deepen, because we’re no longer trying to become someone else, but allowing ourselves to fully be who we already are.

A question to carry this week: Where are you still measuring yourself against a standard that doesn't truly belong to you?

"The more I understand acceptance and trust, the more I see that they are companions rather than separate ideas.

Acceptance allows us to see reality clearly.

Trust gives us the confidence to take the next step.

Without acceptance we're often fighting what is.

Without trust we're afraid of what comes next.

Together they help us move forward with far less effort than we imagined.

I've also realised that neither arrives all at once. They're practices that quietly shape the way we respond to everyday life.

**A simple exercise to try this week:** Draw two circles on a page. In one circle write the things you can influence. In the other write the things you can't. Spend your energy in the first circle and practise releasing the second.

I've found this exercise surprisingly powerful because it reminds me where my energy can create change and where acceptance creates peace."

REFLECT • BOUNCE • BUILD

What did exams teach you? How do you bounce forward? What can you build on?

Exams can leave children feeling relieved, disappointed, proud, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next.

This Creative Lab intake helps them take what they have learned, bounce back with optimism, and build on what they have already achieved.

Through creative thinking, reflection and practical tools, children develop confidence, resilience, emotional awareness and problem-solving skills they can use at school and in everyday life.

Starts 28 July

Grades 4–6 | Grades 6–9 | Grades 10–11
