When I ignore my truth, my body usually notices first.

Not because something is wrong.

But because something needs my attention.

The body is often carrying information we haven't yet acknowledged.

Most of us know where our boundaries should be.

We know when we're saying yes when we mean no.

We know when we're overcommitting.

We know when we're giving from an empty cup.

The challenge isn't usually awareness.

The challenge is action.

Holding a boundary often means disappointing someone.

It means trusting yourself enough to withstand the discomfort.

What I know for sure is that every time I honour a boundary, I honour myself.

And every time I ignore one, my body lets me know.

Human Design gave me awareness.

Zendoodling gave me experience.

Human Design helped me understand how I am designed to move through life.

Zendoodling taught me how to slow down enough to notice when I wasn't.

One gave me language.

The other gave me practice.

And over the years I've come to realise that transformation happens somewhere between the two.

Understanding ourselves matters.

But eventually we have to live what we've learned.

We have to take the information off the page and into our lives.

That's where the real magic begins.

One of the things I find fascinating is that we can convince our minds of almost anything.

But our bodies tend to tell the truth.

We can tell ourselves we're happy while feeling exhausted.

We can tell ourselves we're aligned while constantly pushing.

We can tell ourselves we've healed while repeating the same patterns.

The body often knows before the mind catches up.

Perhaps this is why learning to listen to ourselves is so important.

Not because the body is always right.

But because it is often carrying information we haven't yet consciously acknowledged.

I know a lot of people who can talk beautifully about self-awareness.

They can explain Human Design.
They can explain nervous system regulation.
They can explain boundaries.
They can explain self-worth.

But knowing something intellectually and living it are two very different things.

For me, the biggest shifts in my life didn't happen because I learned something new.

They happened when I started applying what I already knew.

When I stopped looking for more information and started asking:

"How am I actually living this?"

What I know for sure is that wisdom isn't found in what we know.

It's found in what we embody.

Have you ever walked into a space and immediately felt yourself exhale?

And then walked into another space that made your body feel tense without even knowing why?

Our nervous systems are constantly responding to our environment.

The lighting.
The clutter.
The noise.
The energy.
The feeling a space gives us.

I think many people don’t realise how deeply our homes and environments can either support us… or quietly keep us in survival mode.

This is one of the reasons I’m so excited for our first Conscious Café conversation with Katrina Evans.

Not because it’s about “perfect homes.”
