I’ve sat across from so many people who thought the answer to shrinking their body was to slowly disappear themselves first. A little less food. Then a little more restriction. Then skipping meals. Then convincing themselves hunger is discipline.
But your body is not something to outsmart, it’s something to protect. 🫁
When you don’t eat enough, your body doesn’t “give in” and burn more. It does the opposite. It tightens. It conserves. It slows your metabolism, holds onto every ounce of energy it can, and shifts into survival mode, because it thinks you’re in danger. Because, biologically, you are.
And here’s the hard, honest truth: You cannot starve your body into becoming its healthiest version. 🙌
The irony? The thing so many people are afraid to do - eat enough - is often the very thing that allows the body to finally feel safe enough to let go. To regulate. To function. To heal. To change.
Weight loss, if it happens, is not the result of punishment. It’s the result of consistency, nourishment, and trust. 🫶
You deserve to eat. Not earn it. Not justify it. Not apologize for it.
Your body isn’t the enemy. It’s been trying to keep you alive all along. 🤍
