Your health is more than what’s on your plate.

Nutrition plays an important role in supporting not only your physical health, but your mental wellbeing too. When life feels overwhelming, taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It’s necessary.

Prioritising regular meals, adequate sleep, movement, connection, and self-compassion can make a meaningful difference.

💙 Your mental health matters.
💙 Your wellbeing matters.
💙 You matter.

For the longest time, “healthy” was sold to us as restriction. Less carbs.
Less sugar.
Less joy.
But real health is also balance, freedom, and learning that food isn’t something you have to earn.

Your relationship with food matters just as much as what’s on your plate. 💜💜💜

I’ve sat across from so many people who thought the answer to shrinking their body was to slowly disappear themselves first. A little less food. Then a little more restriction. Then skipping meals. Then convincing themselves hunger is discipline.

But your body is not something to outsmart, it’s something to protect. 🫁

When you don’t eat enough, your body doesn’t “give in” and burn more. It does the opposite. It tightens. It conserves. It slows your metabolism, holds onto every ounce of energy it can, and shifts into survival mode, because it thinks you’re in danger. Because, biologically, you are.

And here’s the hard, honest truth: You cannot starve your body into becoming its healthiest version. 🙌

The irony? The thing so many people are afraid to do - eat enough - is often the very thing that allows the body to finally feel safe enough to let go. To regulate. To function. To heal. To change.

Weight loss, if it happens, is not the result of punishment. It’s the result of consistency, nourishment, and trust. 🫶

You deserve to eat. Not earn it. Not justify it. Not apologize for it.
Your body isn’t the enemy. It’s been trying to keep you alive all along. 🤍

This is just the beginning ✨
Of nourishing your body, healing your relationship with food, and becoming the healthiest version of you.

Small, consistent choices. Balanced plates. Sustainable habits.
And it’s only going to get better from here. 🥗💚

GLP-1 medication... and nausea. There’s real physiology behind it 🙌🏼

GLP-1 medication slows gastric emptying. Food “sits” longer, stretch signals increase, and your brain’s satiety pathways are activated. That combo can trigger nausea, especially when doses increase.

This is why meal composition matters! 🥗

High fat, “heavy” meals slow digestion even more and can worsen these symptoms...

Moderate protein is often better tolerated because it:
• Keeps you full without huge volume
• Supports stable blood sugar
• Is easier on digestion than high fat meals

Try:
• Smaller, more frequent meals 🍽️
• Lower fat when nausea flares 🥑
• Simple protein options like yogurt, eggs, cottage cheese, lean biltong, etc. 🍳
• Avoid skipping meals, then eating larger portions 🥱

Strategic food choices can make a big difference!

Health is so much more than what you eat or how you train. It’s how you sleep, how you think, how you cope, and who you surround yourself with.

Small shifts in these areas add up to big changes over time. Be gentle with yourself, progress is holistic, not just physical. 🌿

New year. Same you - just choosing yourself a little more. 🍀🌿

In 2026, invest in your health not as punishment,
but as self-respect.
Not to shrink your body,
but to strengthen your life.

If this is the year you’re ready to feel better, move better and fuel your body with intention - you’re in the right place ✨

Let’s go 2026,
let’s do this together 🧡
