An update from Mighty Mack š
A few weeks ago we received Kenzieās latest chimerism results, and they couldnāt have been better: 100% donor cells. Every single one of her blood results is clear.
When those results came through a few weeks ago, we all breathed a huge sigh of relief. It had been six months since her last blood tests, and even after everything weāve been through, the waiting never gets easier. But once again, Kenz reminded us just how incredibly well she is doing.
These days, life looks very different. Sheās a busy, happy five-year-old who has recently discovered a love of running (just like her daddy šš¼āāļø). Cancer no longer defines her days, and that is the greatest gift we could ever have hoped for.
As Kenzie is now five years in remission and preparing to start ābig schoolā next year, we had decided that it was time to close this chapter. This page has served its purpose, and we wanted to give Kenzie the opportunity to grow up with an identity that isnāt centred around her cancer journey.
But⦠weāve decided to stay just a little while longer.
Weāre currently working on one final project that we hope will benefit thousands of children, and weād love to share that journey with all of you. More information is coming soon.
After that, we hope this page can quietly come to an end. Because, in many ways, that is the ending we always prayed for. No news really is the very best news.
To every person who has followed Kenzieās journey, sent messages, prayed, donated, encouraged us, cried with us and celebrated every milestone alongside usāthank you. Your love has carried our family through the darkest days, and we will never be able to express just how grateful we are.
Thank you for being part of Mighty Macks story and please follow along to see how you can contribute to this one last big and special project - info coming soon š
