Stress isn't just a feeling. A perceived threat activates the brain, triggers the stress response and prepares the body for survival. When that response stays switched on, the body can become stuck in protection mode, creating a cycle of tension, shallow breathing, poor sleep, anxiety and heightened sensitivity. The goal isn't simply to manage the symptoms. It's to interrupt the cycle and teach the nervous system that it is safe to switch off and release tensions.
