Hooded eyes are characterised by a pronounced fold of skin that drapes over the crease, often concealing part of the mobile lid. This makes the upper eyelid appear smaller or less defined when the eyes are open, meaning traditional makeup and lash applications may not show up as vividly. Visibility and lift are essential.

Recommended Blu Beauty curls:
✔️ D Curl Tray – strong lift for visibility
✔️ L Curl Tray or LD Curl Tray – ideal for straight or downward-growing lashes sitting under the fold

💡 Artist tip: Place L or LD curls where lashes disappear beneath the hood, then transition into D Curl through the centre and outer areas to open the eye without adding bulk.

Today’s lash babes want length! More and more clients are opting for length-centric sets, sometimes going as long as 25mm! Thing is, these super length lashes weigh a lot more than the shorter guys. As a lash artist, remember to maintain natural lash health. Always consider how much weight a natural lash can handle. If an extension is too heavy, you risk damaging or breaking off the natural lash. So – always length with care!
