Honoured and truly privileged to be part of the Nutrition Network Faculty!
Being part of a movement that is transforming healthcare through evidence-based nutrition and metabolic health is both a responsibility and an inspiration.

Excited to welcome the 2026 Medical Certification Cohort and to help equip the next generation of practitioners with the knowledge and skills to change lives and reshape healthcare.

Metabolic disease is our defining health challenge, rooted in dysfunction and driven by conditions like Type 2 diabetes and obesity. Therapeutic carbohydrate restriction (TCR) offers an evidence-based solution, but healthcare needs rigorously trained practitioners to deliver it.

That is what Nutrition Network builds toward.

🎉 Welcome to the Nutrition Network Medical Certification Cohort of 2026, along with their lecturers and tutors Prof Tim Noakes | Bitten Jonsson | Faranak Akhiani Amini | Dr Hassina Kajee | Peter Cummings | Dr Manju Markandaya & Dr Rolandos Pavlou.

These professionals are embarking on their journey to graduate as Nutrition Network Practitioners - Certified in Metabolic Healthcare.

Ready to join the next cohort? Spaces are limited, email [email protected] to secure your spot.

The same is true for your health. What you repeatedly think, eat, and do becomes the environment in which your body has to function.
Nourish your mind with positive thoughts. Nourish your body with real, nutrient-dense food. Give it movement, rest, sunlight, and time to recover.

You cannot always control what happens to you, but you can influence what you choose to plant and nurture every day. 🌿
Healthy thoughts. Healthy choices. Healthy body.

Happy Women’s Day 🎉🎊
To every woman who gives so much of herself to the people she loves, remember to make yourself a priority, too!

Your health is not something you should sacrifice while caring for everyone else. You deserve the same care, nourishment and attention that you so freely give to others.

Let’s celebrate women for who we are, strong, resilient, evolving and worthy of feeling our best.
Nourish your body. Protect your health. Honour yourself. 🌱

Happy Women’s Day to all the incredible women in our community. 💐

We often think our health is determined by luck or genetics. But every day, we have the power to influence the story our body tells. Food is not just calories. It's information. Every meal sends signals that can either support healing, build resilience, and optimise health, or contribute to dysfunction over time.

The most powerful tool for transforming your health isn't complicated. It's the choice you make at the end of your fork. Your next meal is more than a meal. It's a message. Make it one your body will thank you for. 🥑✨

In a world filled with ultra-processed products, complicated diets, and endless nutrition advice, the answer is often surprisingly simple: Eat Real Food.
Choose foods that nourish rather than merely fill you. Foods that come from nature, not a factory. Foods that provide the vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, protein, and nutrients your body was designed to thrive on.
Every meal is a choice. Every choice is an investment in your future health. Don't wait until illness forces you to change. Nourish your body today so it can serve you for years to come.
Real food isn't a diet. It's a lifestyle. It's self-care. It's the foundation of lasting health.
Choose real. Choose health. Choose yourself.

Sugar substitutes, also known as artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols, are often marketed as a healthier alternative to regular sugar, promising fewer calories and a reduced risk of health issues like obesity and diabetes. However, these substitutes can confuse your body in ways that might not be immediately obvious.

When you consume sugar substitutes, your taste buds detect sweetness, triggering the brain's reward system. This causes the body to expect a sugar rush, but because these substitutes often have little or no caloric value, the anticipated energy surge never arrives. As a result, your body might overcompensate by craving more food or sweet substances to satisfy the perceived need for sugar.

Additionally, some studies suggest that sugar substitutes can alter the gut microbiome, the community of microorganisms in your digestive system. This imbalance may affect your metabolism and insulin sensitivity, potentially leading to increased hunger and weight gain over time.

Furthermore, frequent consumption of sugar substitutes can confuse the body’s ability to regulate blood sugar. The sweetness signals the body to release insulin, even though no real sugar is entering the bloodstream. This process may interfere with the body's natural insulin response, ultimately leading to issues with blood sugar regulation.

While sugar substitutes may seem like a quick fix for managing sugar intake, their long-term effects on the body remain complex and not fully understood. Their ability to confuse the body's natural response mechanisms raises concerns about their true impact on health.
