My personal advice on breast augmentation:
- the soul purpose of breast augmentation is to improve your self esteem. Nothing more. Nothing less.
- if you are considering having children soon, wait at least 6 months after you have stopped breast feeding and then consider the procedure. Pregnancy and breast feeding can effect your aesthetic outcome and you may need a second procedure.
- your anatomy is unique to you. All outcomes are different in each and every patient.
- large implants are not always best. The larger the implant the higher the risk of the lower part of the breast stretching over time. This may require revision surgery sooner rather that later. Implants too big for your breast anatomy can increase complications in the long term.
- make sure your weight is stable. If you are considering losing weight, wait until you have reached your goals. Weight loss can affect the choice of implant and therefore the aesthetic outcome in the long term.
- and finally, enhancing one’s breasts is a personal decision. It’s for you and nobody else!
