Eating out at restaurants doesn’t have to stress you out when you are on your health journey.

Instead of ordering a side of chips rather opt for a side salad. Simple changes like these can make a difference to your goals, whether they be weight loss, weight maintenance, or simply trying to eat healthier.

However, it is also not the end of the world if you do occasionally have chips. Everything in moderation. All foods can fit into your health journey.

Enjoy having a meal out.

What is your favourite side dish at a restaurant?

Look at that gorgeous colour 😍 all vegetables are healthy for you but the colour is important.

🌈Different colours provide different phytonutrients🌈

Phytonutrients offer many health benefits.

🟣Purple fruit and vegetables supply anthocyanin phytonutrients. It is unique to only purple items 🟣

Breastfeeding is one of the most difficult things I have done. It was a whole new level of crazy.

There is plenty to breastfeeding but one thing to remember is that breastfeeding moms need to drink plenty of fluids to support their milk supply.

What can you do to help?
🤱🏻Keep a large bottle of water next to your breastfeeding chair.
🤱🏻Drink water while you drive or are out on errands.
🤱🏻Drink a large glass of water with every meal and snack.

The colour of your urine is the easiest way to gauge hydration status. If its dark yellow brown, one needs to drink more water. If the urine is pale yellow then you are hydrated enough.

Drink up moms. Good luck with the breastfeeding.

Many people consume antioxidant food and drinks religiously trying to be healthy, reduce cancer risk and age well.

This is not incorrect but it is not necessarily the most effective method.

There is a gene called MnSOD that encodes for enzymes which neutralizes harmful free radicals.

It is a serious powerhouse.

Antioxidant items like cacao, red wine or green tea can only neutralize about one free radical a second. Your MnSOD enzymes are neutralizing millions a second. ⏱

That is a huge difference in capacity! 😱

Supporting your genetics can have a profound affect on your health.

Let me know if you would like to know about how you increase MnSOD and other antioxidant genes.

Ah holidays 🥰 We have just come back from a wonderful break at the South Coast.

It was a precious time to connect with my hubby and kids. We had so much fun and made too many fantastic memories.

We jumped over waves, built epic sand castles, ate plenty of ice cream, wondered at all the sea creatures at the aquarium, saw crocodiles, snakes, butterflies and much more 🌊🏖🐙🦀🐠🐬🐊🐍🦋

It was good for all of us to stop and spend this quality time together. As well as it was a privilege to go away to such a beautiful place.

My cup is full 💛

Vitamin B12 is an essential vitamin as it help makes DNA, makes healthy blood cells and it keep nerves working properly. It also plays a vital role in methylation. Poor methylation can increase risk of anxiety, depression, oestrogen imbalance and more.

Vitamin B12 is found only in animal products or fortified foods. So for all vegan and vegetarians out there, You are at risk for B12 deficiency. Try to consume fortified foods for your dose of B12, such as soy products fortified with B12.

The recommended amount of Vitamin B12 you should aim for on a daily basis are:
Men and women 19 and older 2.4 mcg/day
Pregnant women 19 and older 2.6 mcg/day
Breastfeeding women 19 and older 2.8mg/day

You will meet the recommended intake if you have a 150g beef steak or half a herring fish fillet.

Do you want to know more about how vitamin B12, and methylation affects oestrogen levels and women's health?

Are you working from home but still eating poorly? Or maybe not eating at all?

Solution: Pack yourself a lunch box

Set time aside the night before or in the morning to pack your lunch box.

Have a lunch box at your desk. Then even if you get bogged down with endless meetings or tasks, you can just reach over and have a healthy snack or meal.

Make healthy food choices easier.

"I am doing my best"

"I am worthy"

"I nourish my mind, body, and soul"

These are just a few examples of some daily affirmation to say to yourself.

By reciting affirmations to yourself you have the ability to: boost your own self-confidence, change your negative thought patterns into positive thought patterns, as well as help release negative thoughts, fears, worries and anxiety.

Try to say just one positive affirmation for yourself daily to help you get through stressful or overwhelming times.

I really believe in this and do it with my 3 year old son every morning while we brush his hair in the mirror. He repeats with vigour a few affirmations after me.

Would you do positive affirmations or would you feel silly doing it?
