HATING THE ONE YOU LOVE...
True love is both a trigger and a healer. Nobody can trigger you like the person you care about. When you find yourself being loved and returning the love, the baby inside you begins to awaken. It awoke with all of your childhood trauma. You will find yourself conflicted and acting in ways you had no idea you were capable of.

Because no one else in the world triggers you the way your lover does, you could even go so far as to label them as toxic. Keep in mind that you are simply your infant self around them. The challenge is that the adult side of you, the one with egos and anxieties, confronts the infant when their truths surface.

The conflict causing the delay in healing is this one. There is a serious struggle going on between childhood trauma and mature ego anxieties.

If you want to grow, you must learn to change your appetite. You can't crave yesterday and be comfortable with today. Craving the life you had with your ex is detrimental to your current relationship.
