Last week, we brought our EMGuidance Academy partners together in Cape Town and Johannesburg for two mornings focused on connection, collaboration and shared ideas.

Across both events, we reflected on EMGuidance’s journey and what comes next, explored the future of the EMGuidance Academy, and considered an important question:

What does it take to turn good clinical content into learning that genuinely makes an impact?

In Cape Town, Kirsty Falkenberg from MediComm and Cathy Hugo from The Association of Palliative Care Practitioners of SA (PALPRAC) shared their perspectives on what happens beyond the content, while in Johannesburg, Frances Kelly from FPD explored the journey from learning design to application.

The event created a space for our partners to connect, exchange ideas, share experiences and explore where we can continue to create value together.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us across both cities and to the partners who continue to collaborate with us to create meaningful education for healthcare professionals.

An important conversation about the future of healthcare took place at last night’s Melomed Ethics CPD Forum.

EMGuidance CEO & Co-Founder Dr Yaseen Khan moderated an engaging panel discussion with Professor Jantina de Vries, Dr Heidi Matisonn and Professor Ntobeko Ntusi, exploring what it means to balance innovation, equity and human care as healthcare continues to evolve.

The discussion covered some genuinely complex territory, from how much trust we should place in increasingly intelligent clinical systems, to the evidence and oversight needed before they can meaningfully influence care.

For us at EMGuidance, much of this conversation connected directly with the work we are doing. As we continue developing clinical decision-support technology, questions around trusted evidence, local relevance, human judgement and how these tools are responsibly implemented are not theoretical. They are considerations we are actively working through.

There are no simple answers. And that is precisely why conversations like this matter.

A big thank you to Melomed Private Hospitals for creating space for this important conversation.

Last week, our CEO and Co-founder, Dr Yaseen Khan, joined a strong line-up of healthtech and edutech innovators at the RMB Health-tech and Edu-tech Mixer at RMB’s offices.

The evening brought together start-ups, investors and corporate innovators to share ideas, explore new models and connect around the future of healthcare and education.

For Yaseen, the opportunity was to share how EMGuidance is evolving from a trusted clinical information platform into a broader ecosystem supporting clinical guidance, digital workflows and AI-powered decision support.

And while AI was just one part of the broader conversation, it is an important part of where healthcare is heading. The real opportunity isn't simply putting AI into healthcare. It is connecting AI to trusted clinical knowledge and embedding that intelligence into the workflows where Healthcare Professionals are already making decisions.

It was great to be in the room with so many people building, investing in and thinking differently about the future of healthcare.

Thank you to RMB for bringing the community together and creating space for these conversations.
The future of healthcare will be built through collaboration, connected technology and, increasingly, intelligent tools that can support better decisions at the point of care.
