EVEN THE NON-VEGANS ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS! 😭😂🌱 And we went back for SECONDS!
The colours. The flavours. The creativity. THE FOOD! 😍🔥
We spent time with an incredible community in Soweto at The Soil Indigenous, celebrating the power of indigenous food, permaculture, growing our own food, medicinal plants and plant-based living. Huge appreciation to Chef Thokozani for the delicious food and the work she does with communities, including yoga. 🌱❤️
What struck me most was the COLOUR on those plates! 💚🧡❤️💛
When your plate is full of greens, oranges, reds, beans, grains, herbs and indigenous ingredients, nutrition becomes something you can SEE, explore and enjoy.
African indigenous nutrition is not some new trend. Our soil, our food heritage and our traditional ingredients have so much to teach us. We just need to reconnect with them and learn how to make them work for our modern lifestyles.
The session celebrated No Meat Mondays. And as a vegan, my personal goal is simple: NO MEAT EVERY DAY! 😂🌱 But wherever you are on your journey, starting with one more plant-based meal is a step worth celebrating.
Want to explore plant-based eating but don't know where to start? 🌿
I'm a plant-based wellness coach. I've been plant based for 9 years now.
I understand that it sounds like a difficult thing to even try plant based even if it's a day or a week or for a lifetime.
DM me “PLANTS” to book your wellness assessment. Let's understand your goals, build your nutrition knowledge and find a practical way to eat more plants that works for YOUR life. Your journey starts with education! And I'll also share plugs to the communities I've had the previlage of experiencing and how Ive used the gained knowledge on my journey.
