Dr. Ròlandi Crous
Diplomate Anaesthetist | Critical Care & Sedation Specialist
Dr. Ròlandi Crous is an experienced diplomate anaesthetist and critical care practitioner, currently serving in private practice across several leading hospitals in Kimberley. Her career spans over a decade in both public and private healthcare sectors, with deep expertise in anesthesia for a wide range of surgical disciplines, intensive care management, and pain and sedation therapy.
After obtaining her MBChB from the University of Stellenbosch in 2013, Dr. Crous completed her internship and community service in the Eastern Cape, rotating through major clinical departments with a strong focus on anesthetics. She earned her Diploma in Anaesthesia (SA) in 2018 and recently expanded her credentials with a postgraduate certificate in Pain and Sedation from the University of the Free State.
Her professional experience includes roles in anesthetic and ICU departments at prominent institutions such as Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital and the Port Elizabeth Hospital Complex, where she was actively involved in academic teaching, intern supervision, and the care of critically ill patients, including those with COVID-19.
Currently, Dr. Crous provides anaesthetic services under supervision of specialist anaesthetists at the Royal Anaesthesia Group. Her practice covers general surgery, urology, obstetrics and gynaecology, maxillofacial and dental procedures, vascular surgery, and cardiology sedation.
Fluent in Afrikaans, English, and German, Dr. Crous is known for her compassionate patient approach, methodical clinical decision-making, and collaborative leadership in high-pressure environments. Her continued commitment to medical excellence is reflected in her clinical proficiency, academic involvement, and passion for lifelong learning.
