Today we celebrate the young people of our nation — their courage, resilience, determination, and the powerful role they play in shaping the future of South Africa.

On this Youth Day, we remember the sacrifices made by the youth of 1976 and honour the legacy they left behind. Their bravery continues to inspire generations to pursue opportunity, education, equality, and positive change. 💛

At Next Step Orthotics & Prosthetics, we are privileged to work with young people from all walks of life — helping them overcome challenges, regain mobility, pursue their dreams, and participate fully in school, sport, work, and everyday life.

🦿✈️ Gone, But Not Forgotten! ✈️🦿

You may have noticed we've been a little quieter than usual on social media recently—but for a very good reason!

Last week, The Next Step's Owner and Head Orthotist & Prosthetist had the privilege of attending an advanced prosthetic training course hosted by Össur South Africa in Cape Town by Össur. The course focused on the latest developments in prosthetic socket design, fitting techniques, and emerging technologies aimed at improving comfort, function, and outcomes for amputees.

At Next Step Orthotics & Prosthetics, we believe that learning never stops. By continually investing in education and professional development, we can ensure that our patients have access to the most up-to-date knowledge, techniques, and solutions available.

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from industry experts, collaborate with fellow professionals, and explore new approaches that can make a real difference in the lives of the people we serve.

While we may have been away from our screens, we were hard at work investing in the future of patient care. We look forward to bringing this knowledge back to our practice and continuing to provide the highest standard of orthotic and prosthetic care to our community. 💛
