We are grateful to have hosted the Mastercard Foundation Ethiopia team at The Blend Wellness in Mall of Tembisa and to have shared space, perspective and a glimpse into what we are building.

Our founder’s journey with GMT_womencreatingwealth began at just 21 — when she was still navigating entrepreneurship as a solo self-employed young woman.

Nine years later, those building blocks have contributed to the phenomenal foundation that is The Blend Wellness today.

Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of how the rooms we enter, the people who invest in us and the ecosystems that surround entrepreneurs can shape what becomes possible years down the line.

We are proud to continue building from here. 🖤

Heritage Day 🇿🇦

Wellness didn’t arrive with a hashtag. Our mothers and grandmothers were caring for skin, doing hair, massaging tired bodies, sharing remedies and creating moments of rest long before we called it “self-care.”

At The Blend Wellness, we’re taking that culture of care forward — combining the wisdom of where we come from with professional beauty, aesthetics and wellness for where we’re going.

Because heritage isn’t only what we remember.
It’s what we preserve, professionalise, build on and pass forward.

Our heritage. Our wellness. Our future. 🇿🇦

Happy Heritage Day, Mzansi.

We’ve been quiet on Instagram, but we have not been standing still. 🤍

Introducing the new EMMA SKINCARE range—now available at The Blend Wellness and already selling fast at Mall of Thembisa.

What sets us apart is that we do not simply sell you products and send you home. Your skin journey begins with a professional consultation so that we can understand your concerns, assess your skin and develop a personalised treatment guide.

From there, we recommend the appropriate in-clinic treatments and home-care products for you to follow consistently over a specific period.

Healthy, even-looking and glowing skin is rarely achieved through one facial or one product. It requires the right system, professional guidance and consistency over several months.

That is the EMMA SKINCARE approach:

Consultation.
Treatment plan.
Targeted product recommendations.
Consistent progress.

Visit The Blend Wellness at Mall of Thembisa for your skin consultation and personalised routine.

These were my early days.
This is where the foundation was laid.

Today, when people talk about scaling, licensing, or industry reform, they don’t realise it starts here — on the ground, with real people, real constraints, and real outcomes.

God taught me that purpose doesn’t need perfect conditions — it needs willingness.
He met me in the dust, in the fatigue, in the quiet moments where quitting made sense but obedience mattered more.

This work didn’t grow because I was strong.
It grew because God was faithful.

Started from a caravan, moved into Mall of Thembisa, built through COVID, created employment and training opportunities, developed products, moved into medical aesthetics, built industry initiatives, and now we’re working on financing/access mechanisms.

The Blend Wellness is building township-born wellness infrastructure — taking professional skin, beauty and wellness services that have traditionally been concentrated in affluent markets and making them accessible, credible and aspirational within the township economy.
