Real talk — I don’t drink anymore.

December 2023 was my last drink. This December it’ll be 3 years.

Here’s why. I came up in rugby culture, where you drink as much as you can and nobody takes it seriously. It’s just what you do, and I was good at it.

But I started noticing something. Even two or three beers — nothing crazy — and I’d feel it the next day. The fogginess. The broken sleep. The slow recovery. Come Monday I wasn’t fully there, not for my own training and not for my clients.

That’s what got me. I want to be at my best for the people who trust me with their goals. I couldn’t do that foggy and half-recovered.

So I stopped. And I won’t lie to you — the first month was a battle. I kept asking myself if it was even worth it. But by month two, three, I started feeling it. More energy. Clearer head. Better recovery. Better training. Better everything.

I’m not telling you to quit forever. I’m telling you to try putting your performance first — even just 30 days, zero alcohol. A few of my clients are on this journey right now.

See how you feel after a month. I think it’ll surprise you.

I’m too busy.”

I hear it almost every week. And I’m not going to argue with you — your day is full, I believe you.

But after years of doing this, I’ve noticed something. “Too busy” usually isn’t about time. It’s about having nothing left to give yourself by the time it’s finally your turn. You pour into work. Into your kids. Into everyone who needs you. And when the day’s done, the tank’s empty.

So no — I’m not going to tell you to wake up at 5am and grind. I’m going to tell you this: 20 minutes for yourself isn’t selfish. It’s how you keep showing up for everyone else.

Start there. Just 20 minutes. That’s the whole plan for now.

If you’ve been waiting until life “calms down” to begin — it doesn’t. We build it in anyway. — Jeandre

6 men. 6 weeks. One transformation worth R10,000. 🏆

I’m opening the doors to the Savage Empire 6 Week Challenge — and I’m only taking 6 men.

Because the man who walks out of this in 6 weeks leaner, stronger, and back in control isn’t getting a generic plan off the internet.

He’s getting app-based training built around his life, meal guidelines that survive real days, habit systems that stick, and body composition tracking that proves it’s working.
And the man who transforms the most — best muscle-to-fat ratio gain across the 6 weeks — walks away with R10,000.

You don’t need more motivation. You need a system, a deadline, and someone in your corner who won’t let you coast.

👉 6 spots. First come, first locked in.

Gluttony.

Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins. Most people hear the word and picture someone stuffing their face. But it goes deeper than that. Gluttony is when food stops being fuel and becomes your master — when you run to it for comfort, for reward, for joy, for escape. When your appetite controls you instead of you controlling it.

I never thought of it as a sin. Then a client of mine, Armand, asked me a simple question: “What sin do you struggle with?” I didn’t have an answer ready. But the longer I sat with it, the clearer it got. Mine was food.

For a long time I was in denial. I told myself I just needed a stricter plan, more willpower. But rigid, strict plans always broke me — especially on weekends and late at night. The tighter I held the rules, the harder I binged when they snapped.

What I actually needed wasn’t restriction. It was structure. Real meals built on protein, carbs, fats, and fiber — enough to keep me satisfied, so I wasn’t hunting for joy in a packet at 11pm. Structure gave me discipline. And discipline gave me something I’d never had with food: peace.

Here’s the part that might sound far-fetched if you don’t believe in God — but I’ll say it anyway. Food had become my god. My comfort, my reward, my escape were all built around it. And that’s exactly what sin does: it promises you joy and slowly destroys the body you were given to steward. Look around — obesity is one of the biggest health crises in the world. This is not a small thing.

It stays a journey. I’m not writing this as someone who has arrived. I’m writing it as someone who decided to stop being a victim. Food doesn’t get to be my joy or my master anymore. The discipline and the freedom far outweigh the control food once had over me.

If you’ve ever felt controlled by food — the late-night binges, the weekend write-offs, the shame on Monday — you’re not weak, and you’re not alone. There’s a way out. And it starts with structure, not punishment.

The reps don’t lie.

Not in the gym. Not in life.

Every time you hit your protein, chose sleep, or stayed solid at a social event when nobody else was , that was a rep. And those reps add up.

Most people want the body. The energy. The results. They just keep skipping the small stuff that actually gets them there.

Eat. Train. Sleep. Stay solid on the weekends.

Do that over and over and watch what happens.

That’s how you build your empire. 💪

Your calendar doesn’t lie.

Most people say they value their health, their family, their faith — but their schedule says otherwise.

Busyness isn’t a badge. It’s what happens when you haven’t decided what matters.

Every yes is a no to something else. The question is whether you’re choosing that or just reacting.
