This is our FAVORITE SHOULDER STABILITY exercise ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Moving on from our previous shoulder Ws and Ts, THIS is the big brother of them all ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

The "V to W" ex is a great way to start working on 'dynamic stability' which basically means keeping your shoulder blade stable and still, whilst your arms are moving in a different plane. This is also the most functional of the 'alphabet' exercises - as we often use our arms overhead during daily tasks, so we're not just doing this for the fun of it, it actually has a purpose๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜

The "T" lift is great for middle trap activation which is going to help keep your shoulder blade in a stable position, whilst you move your arm freely ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป this means that finally your stabilisers will be doing what they are meant to do, and your big functional muscles don't need to jump in & compensate - it's a WIN WIN ๐Ÿ˜

We all know by now that weight (the number on the scale) is not the best measure to tell us what our bodies are made up of ๐Ÿ™ˆ so instead of only chasing our goal weight, we should rather aim to get all of the following parameters into a good healthy range:
*BMI (weight to height ratio)
*Body Fat %
*Muscle Mass %
*Visceral Fat Level (type of fat surrounding our organs)
*Resting Metabolic Rate (how much energy your body burns at rest)

Got shoulder issues? ๐Ÿ˜ฃ chances are that you need to work on your stabilisers! As a Bio, 90% of shoulder issues I see stem from a lack of scapular (shoulder blade) stability - which means that when you move your arms, your shoulder blade is moving all over the place ๐Ÿซฃ this leads to reduced space in your shoulder joint which can irritate tendons and ligaments causing inflammation! So.. are you ready to start stabilising? ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป
