The SAACP Mentorship Programme is running again in 2026 after a successful launch last year, and we would like to invite you to participate as a mentor.

The programme connects experienced counselling psychologists with early-career psychologists to support professional growth, guidance, and community within the field. Depending on demand, mentees may be grouped together in small groups of approximately 3 mentees per mentor.

What’s involved:
• 3 mentorship sessions between 15 July and 4 September 2026
• Sessions are held online
• Flexible scheduling between you and your mentees
• 1 hour per session
• 6 General CPD points awarded to mentors on completion

Mentors need to be HPCSA-registered counselling psychologists with 10+ years’ experience.

If you’re willing to participate as a mentor, please register here before 15 July 2026:

🧠 PsySSA Commemorates Men’s Health Month

It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.

PsySSA marks Men’s Health Month by breaking the stigma around men’s mental health—and calling for a shift from awareness to action.

Despite growing discourse, many South African men remain excluded from mental health support—trapped by ideals of masculinity that frame vulnerability as weakness.

🎥 In this compelling video, DRM Executive Committee member Omphile Rammopo explores how we can rethink therapy to meet men where they are, not where we expect them to be.

Grounded in local research, clinical insight, and lived experience, this contribution by the Division for Research and Methodology (DRM) is a call to transform support systems in ways that are culturally relevant, affirming, and accessible.
