🍍 A LITTLE TASTE OF HOME — MUM’S PINEAPPLE TART 🍍

Some recipes are more than just a list of ingredients. They bring back memories of family gatherings, shared meals and the people who made ordinary days special. ❤️

This pineapple tart is one of my mum's recipes, and it's a lovely no-bake dessert for when you want something sweet without turning on the oven.

You'll need:
🍍 1 can, about 410–432 g (14.5–15.25 oz) crushed pineapple
🍮 2 packets pineapple jelly
🥛 1 can, 380 g (13.4 oz) chilled Ideal (evaporated) milk
🍪 1 packet, 200 g (7 oz) Tennis biscuits
💧 2 cups boiling water

The easy method:
Layer the biscuits in a tart dish. Dissolve the jelly in boiling water and let it cool until almost set but still pourable. Whip the chilled evaporated milk until it has tripled in volume, then beat in the jelly and crushed pineapple. Pour over the biscuits, crumble a few more on top, and refrigerate until set.

A simple family recipe, made to share.

Do you have a favourite recipe that was passed down through your family? I'd love to hear about it! 💚

🏡 A little maintenance today can save a lot of hassle tomorrow!

It’s easy to forget when we last checked the smoke alarms, looked for a dripping tap, cleaned an appliance filter, or tackled those little maintenance jobs around the house.

That’s why I created the Home Maintenance Checklist for Light & Linger.

This practical 14-page printable helps you keep track of:

🌿 Monthly home maintenance
🌿 Seasonal tasks
🌿 Plumbing and water checks
🌿 Appliances and ventilation
🌿 Home safety and emergency preparedness
🌿 Preventative maintenance
🌿 Repairs, reminders, and follow-ups

Whether you own your home or rent, having a simple checklist can make it easier to stay organised and keep track of what needs attention.

Print the pages you need, work through the lists at your own pace, and keep your maintenance records in one place.

A little planning can make home care feel much more manageable.

🌿 A LITTLE MOMENT OF JOY

Sometimes, it's the little things that make the biggest difference.

A few encouraging words. A Scripture that speaks to your heart. A gentle reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty in an ordinary day.

That's the inspiration behind my Little Moments of Joy bundle. 🤍

I've brought together three printable collections to help you find encouragement, reflect on God's goodness, and add a little beauty to your everyday surroundings.

✨ Finding Joy in the Moment — printable wall art
📖 10 Scripture Cards — words of faith and encouragement
🌸 10 Little Things Worth Noticing Cards — reminders to appreciate life's everyday blessings

Print them for yourself, display them in your favorite corner, add them to your journal, or share a little encouragement with someone you love.

Because sometimes, we all need a reminder to pause and notice the good.

🐷🐱 Sometimes life needs a little bit of nonsense! 😄

Not everything has to be serious, sensible, or perfectly planned. Sometimes it's good to let your imagination run wild and simply have a little fun!

I've been busy creating something new for Light & Linger — A Little Bit of Nonsense, a collection of 20 printable animal-themed journal pages filled with colourful characters and quirky charm. 🐷🐔🦆

It's a little something for the creative souls, the journal lovers, the paper crafters, and anyone who believes that a bit of silliness can brighten an ordinary day.

Because life isn't just about getting things done. It's also about making room for creativity, laughter, and the simple joy of doing something just because it's fun. 💛

✨ A Little Bit of Nonsense is now available in my Payhip shop for $4.50.

SOMETIMES, THE BEST MOMENTS ARE THE UNPLANNED ONES

Last Sunday morning, we decided to do something a little different.

No big plans. No schedule to follow. Just an unplanned visit to the beach.

We walked along the shore, picked up shells, sat with our feet in the sand, and watched the birds diving into the water to catch their breakfast. 🐦

Around us, people were enjoying the beach in their own ways — walking, chatting, playing, or simply soaking up the sunshine and fresh ocean breeze.

And there we were, taking it all in.

Sometimes, we get so caught up in our everyday routines that we forget how much a little time in nature can do for the soul. The sound of the waves, the feel of the sand, the birds going about their day, and that wonderful ocean breeze seemed to wash away some of the week's busyness.

It reminded me how many beautiful things God has placed around us to enjoy — often without asking anything from us except that we slow down long enough to notice them. 🤍

We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and re-energized.

And then we walked into Walmart with our wet pants and all! 😂😂

A little reminder for today: You don't always need a special occasion, an elaborate plan, or a lot of money to make a beautiful memory. Sometimes, all you need is a little fresh air, an open heart, and the willingness to take an unplanned turn.

May you find a little moment of peace, joy, and wonder in your ordinary day today. 🌿

What is one simple, unplanned moment that has brought you joy lately?
