No headaches, no dizziness, no warning signs.
⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄
Yet uncontrolled blood pressure remains one of the leading risk factors for heart attacks and strokes. The tricky part? High blood pressure often has no symptoms at all, which is why it's often called the "silent killer."

Many people feel completely well while their blood pressure is quietly putting strain on their heart, brain, kidneys and blood vessels.

When last did you have your blood pressure checked?

If you're over 40, have a family history of high blood pressure, are carrying a little extra weight, living with stress, or simply haven't checked it in a while, it may be time to know your numbers.

Do you have a blood pressure machine at home? If not, pop in and let us check it for you. A quick reading could tell you a lot about your health and may help prevent serious complications down the line.

This thingy-majig may look like an ordinary magnifying glass... 🔍✨
⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄
But it actually takes a much, much closer look at your skin.

Got moles? Not sure what you're looking for? Or perhaps you've had one for years and feel like it's time for a check-up?

One of the easiest ways to monitor your skin is the “Ugly Duckling" rule. 🦆

Most of your moles tend to look fairly similar. If one mole stands out, looks different from the rest, or simply catches your attention as the odd one out, it's worth having it checked.

Keep an eye out for:
▫️ A new mole appearing in adulthood
▫️ Changes in size, shape, or colour
▫️ Itching, bleeding, or crusting
▫️ Anything that just doesn't look quite right

The good news? When detected early, most skin cancers are highly treatable. 🙌🏽

If you have a mole that's been bothering you, or you'd simply like some peace of mind, book a consultation and I'll take it from there. 🤍

There’s a wonderful intersection between medicine, science and faith when it comes to fingerprints and the human hand.

Did you know that fingerprints begin forming in utero at around 10-16 weeks gestation? The ridges are influenced by genetics, pressure, movement, blood flow and microscopic environmental factors inside the womb. Even identical twins do not share the same fingerprints.

Scientifically, that level of individuality is astonishing.

What’s even more remarkable is that fingerprints are not simply “patterns on skin.” They are highly specialized friction ridges designed to improve grip, sensation and fine motor control. The hand itself is one of the most sophisticated anatomical structures in the human body - a combination of nerves, tendons, muscles, blood supply and sensory receptors working in extraordinary precision.

And yet, despite modern medicine, advanced imaging, microsurgery, genetics and artificial intelligence, we still cannot fully recreate a living human hand with all of its sensitivity, adaptability and healing capacity. We can repair, we can transplant, we e can prosthetically mimic.

But true creation remains beyond us.
As a Christian doctor, there’s humility in that. The more medicine advances, the more we realize how much we still do not understand. Science often reveals complexity faster than it provides answers. What appears “simple” biologically is usually profoundly intricate under a microscope.

Book of Job 37:7 says:
“He seals up the hand of every man, that all men may know His work.”
This can be interpreted poetically or spiritually, either way, there is something profoundly moving about the fact that every human hand carries a unique imprint - no two ever identical across billions of people.

Medicine teaches us precision, but faith teaches us humility.
And perhaps one of the greatest lessons of both is this: the deeper we study creation, the harder it becomes to believe it is ordinary.💕

You deserve to feel well again💪🏽

Something I’ve noticed is how many people have learnt to function while feeling completely exhausted.

Not just tired after a long week - but running on empty for months!🤕
The headaches, irritability, poor sleep, brain fog, anxiety, constant illness, low mood and relying on caffeine just to get through the day have somehow become “normal”.

As a family doctor, one of the most important things I try to remind patients is that feeling unwell doesn’t always have to look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like simply not feeling like yourself anymore.

Iron deficiency, burnout, hormone imbalances, stress, poor sleep, vitamin deficiencies, depression, chronic inflammation and even dehydration often present quietly at first.

We live in a culture that praises pushing through, but your health was never meant to live in survival mode.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do is stop ignoring the symptoms you’ve normalised and start asking why they’re there in the first place 🤍

I’m here to guide you back to feeling like yourself again 🤍

There’s a concept in aesthetics often called the “injector’s eye”… where most people see a face, but a trained eye reads something entirely different underneath the surface.🙌🏽

It’s not just skin. It’s structure, light, shadow, support and how all of it interacts.

Where the untrained eye might notice “tiredness” or “dark circles,” the injector sees:
💉Tear trough depth and transition points
💉Loss of midface support allowing descent into the under-eye
💉Weak orbital rim definition
💉Shadow formation caused by volume loss, not pigmentation alone
💉Subtle asymmetries in facial balance
💉Skin quality and elasticity changes that alter how light reflects

Because the face is essentially a landscape of light, when structure changes, light behaves differently, …creating the impression of fatigue, heaviness, or ageing even when skin itself is relatively healthy.🙌🏽

Volume, borders & balance
One of the biggest signs we see is subtle volume loss in key support zones. When this happens, the “borders” of the face soften, particularly around the tear trough, cheeks and jawline.

The result is less definition and more shadowing. Restoring structure with hyaluronic acid fillers can gently re-establish these contours, not to “change” a face, but to return support where it has diminished.💉

Movement & expression
Then there’s motion. Fine lines and expression patterns are often treated with neuromodulators (botulinum toxin), helping soften overactive muscle pull while preserving natural expression.

At the heart of my approach is simple observation: how structure, light and skin quality interact to create balance in the face. Small, precise refinements can make a meaningful difference to overall harmony and facial restfulness.🙌🏽

Let me treat your skin with intention.💞

THAT “BARKING” COUGH?
It might be Croup.🙌🏽

Croup is a common viral illness in young children that affects the upper airway and it’s known for its very distinctive sound.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM A NORMAL COUGH?
Unlike a chesty or phlegmy cough, croup causes swelling around the voice box and windpipe - which is why the cough sounds barking and the voice becomes hoarse.

WHAT DOES IT SOUND LIKE?
▫️A harsh, barking cough (often compared to a seal)
▫️Hoarse voice
▫️Noisy breathing, especially at night

WHY IT FEELS SCARY:
Symptoms often worsen suddenly at night, which can be alarming for parents.

WHAT YOU CAN DO AT HOME:
▫️Keep your child calm (crying can worsen symptoms)
▫️Sit them upright
▫️Cool night air or steam can sometimes help
▫️Ensure they’re comfortable and hydrated

WHEN TO SEEK HELP:
▫️Struggling to breathe
▫️Breathing is fast or laboured
▫️A high-pitched sound when breathing in (stridor at rest)
▫️Lips or face looking pale or bluish

Most cases are mild and improve within a few days but knowing when to act is key 💓

If you’re unsure, trust your instinct and reach out. I’m here to guide you.💕

Choosing contraception isn’t one-size-fits-all. 🤍
⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄ ⋄

Your body, your hormones, your cycle, your medical history, your lifestyle and your future fertility plans all influence what will work best for you…and what won’t.✔️

What suits a 19-year-old athlete may not suit a new mom and what works well for someone with heavy, painful periods may be completely wrong for someone managing migraines, acne, or mood changes. 🤍

Some methods need daily consistency, others are long-acting. Some help regulate hormones, others are hormone-free. And importantly - side effects are not the same for everyone.🙌🏽

There’s also more to consider than just preventing pregnancy. We look at things like menstrual control, acne, bleeding patterns, weight sensitivity, clotting risk, migraine history and how your body has responded to hormones in the past. ✔️

Even your routine and how often you want to think about contraception plays a role.

The goal is to try to find a contraception that fits your life without disrupting it.

Let’s talk through the options properly so you feel informed, supported and confident in your choice.💞

Book a consultation today.🙌🏽
