*Man of God saved my life! From death roll to scot-free.*
This man, Ronald Sambo, with other three guys were sentenced to death for the crime of murder with actual intent on 30 June 2014, which occurred in 2010. A high court judgment referenced HH210-15/14 State vs. Dolosi and others. His whole family came to UFIC Chinhoyi Assembly and presented their issue to the man of God who is one of the beloved sons of the great Prophets of God, Emmanuel and Ruth Makandiwa who are the founders of the United Family International Church (UFIC).
It was in one of the Sunday service in July 2014 which the man of God Evangelist Nyakudya termed ‘Miracle Sunday Service’ in which people would present their afflictions before the man of God. The mother to the only son Ronald Sambo who was condemned to death and her two daughters cried to the man of God for mercy, with compassion, the man of God declared in his own words that “hausiriwo mutongo wacho, haasikuzofa asi achabuda pamberi apo” (that’s not the correct sentence, he is not going to die but he will be released later on).
Hearing the man of God making such a declaration, reversing a high court sentence, it sounded so insane and ridiculous. There was no window of opportunity for such a declaration to come to pass. It was as that of Elisha declaring that tomorrow about this time, fine flour will be sold by the gate of Samaria.
Armed with the word of the man of God Ronald’s sister who happens to be a member of the UFIC church went to visit her brother who was in prison since 2010 and gave him the word of the man of God that he was not going to die and will be released at a later time.
The family lodged an appeal in 2015 together with the families of the other convicts with the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe. During this period, the man of God and his wife, Pastor Munyaradzi Nyakudya, were supporting the family materially and spiritually. They would send goodies and words of hope to Ronald through his sister.There seemed to be no grain of hope as the government of the day back then, before 2017 was working on servicing the hanging equipment in preparation for the ex*****on of the convicts who were on death roll including Ronald.
The whole process was stalled when there was a transition of Government in November 2017 as God wanted His word to be fulfilled which he spoke by the mouth of the man of God which was the release of Ronald.
The process took up to 29 September 2023 when the Supreme Court set aside the death sentence and remitted the matter back to the same court which convicted them for resentencing. I then realised that the first and second part of the word of the man of God was fulfilled when he said that the sentence was not the right one and that Ronald was not going to die. I was left speechless!
In August 2024 social media and media houses were awash with the news that the High Court handed down 20-year sentence to Ronald and his accomplices and ordered their immediate release. That was on the 8th of August 2024. I witnessed the last part of the declaration of the man of God that Ronald would be released at a later time. “This is not the right sentence. He is not going to die and shall be released at a later time”
On Sunday 25 August 2024 during a Sunday service with the servants of God Evangelist Ado and Pastor Munyaradzi Nyakudya to the disbelief of many. Ronald Sambo and his sister walked to the stage to give a powerful testimony of how God had been so gracious to them. The testimony was so touching and exposed the deepest love of the man and woman of God. To imagine that the servants of God and Ronald were seeing each other for the first time ever. All along, it was an exchange of words and goodies through Ronald’s sister.
As he was giving his touching testimony, the whole atmosphere shifted, the presence of God was rapidly increasing to the extent that people began to manifest with some falling under the power of God without the man of God touching or praying for anyone or saying a word but the testimony of how God used him to bring back to life our dear ‘dead’ Ronald to life.
One of the touching lines of his testimony is when he had a dream in prison seeing Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa removing a snake that was tied around him. When he woke up, he was eager to see his sister and sent him with the dream to Evangelist Nyakudya, who became his Pastor from the day he was told about him by his sister in 2014. When the sister came to visit him the following week after the dream, she had a word from the Evangelist in the form of a Bible verse *Zechariah 4 verse 6 and 7* “… _Not by mighty or by power but by my spirit saith the Lord of hosts…who art thy great mountain before_ _Zerubabel thou shalt become a plain…”_ The word became a confirmation of his dream that he was going to be delivered. Imagine! Having a dream of Prophet Makandiwa delivering him and the son of the Prophet, Evangelist Nyakudya sending a scripture as a confirmation of the dream he had. What a connection between the father and son, fulfilling the scripture which says me and my father are one, I in my father and my father in me. What I saw my father doing I do also.
The most touching part of the testimony was when Ronald was introduced to the Evangelist Nyakudya physically for the first time. The situation was so uncontrollable, almost the whole church was in tears, even the man of God himself. I vividly remember seeing Ronald standing up from his chair going towards the man of God and the man of God leaving his chair to meet Ronald. They fell on each other’s neck, and people could be seen sobbing, as they witnessed the grace and love of God through His servant Evangelist Nyakudya.
In his words of appreciation, Ronald acknowledged that he saw the hand of God through a man he was so much eager to see all his jail term. He has been seeing some great love from the Evangelist, and he was so much priviledged to set his eyes on the man of God. He then openly declared that he was now a member of the UFIC as long as he lives.
We were left wondering what kind of a man is the Evangelist Nyakudya a man who can boldly make a decree against the judicial order and even cause a political shift so that a declaration can be fulfilled.
UFIC Chinhoyi City, we are so much favoured to have such a man to be our man of God which was released right from the hand of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and always manifest his father the great Prophet in all aspects.
