I’ve been noticing something lately — in therapy rooms, in workplaces, even in how we use our phones.
Everyone is performing resilience.
We measure our worth in output, we equate momentum with meaning, and then wonder why we’re exhausted.
It’s the same tension I wrote about in Holding the Centre — how our culture has mistaken movement for progress, and noise for connection.
The truth is, most of us aren’t tired because we’re doing too little.
We’re tired because we’ve forgotten how to be without performing it.
Maybe the next step in healing isn’t more optimisation — it’s quieter honesty.
