Soup season is here! But not all soups are created equal.

A warm bowl of soup can be nourishing, satisfying, and comforting on a cold day, but the nutritional value can vary significantly depending on the ingredients.

When choosing a soup, don’t just look at the calories, consider the protein content too. A higher-protein option can make a more balanced and satisfying meal, especially if you’re looking to support muscle health, manage hunger, or maintain energy levels throughout the day.

Winter weight changes are normal ❄️

As the weather gets colder, our routines often shift. We may move less, crave warmer comfort meals, drink less water, or spend more time indoors. These changes can influence your weight, but they do not mean you are doing something wrong.

Your body is not meant to look or weigh exactly the same every single day, season or year.

Instead of focusing only on the scale, try to focus on nourishing your body, eating regular meals, staying hydrated, moving in a way that feels good, and being kind to yourself.

Small changes are normal.

7 June marks Cancer Survivors Day. It’s a day to honour those living with and beyond cancer, and to recognise the ongoing journey of recovery, healing and survivorship.

Nutrition can play an important role after cancer treatment by supporting strength, maintaining muscle mass, managing side effects and improving quality of life. However, there is no perfect “cancer diet”, and survivors should not feel pressured by restrictive food rules or misinformation.

A registered dietitian can help create an individualised nutrition plan based on your symptoms, treatment history, appetite, weight changes and health goals.

Today we celebrate every cancer survivor: your strength, your story and your journey.

Thos convenient cappuccino sachets we love during this colder season, can sometimes contain more calories and added sugar than expected. That doesn’t mean you need to avoid them, it’s all about awareness and balance.

A few calories here and there can add up quickly, especially when these become a daily winter habit. Swapping to a lower-calorie option or simply being mindful of how many you’re having can make a difference over time.

Swipe through to compare the calories in some popular cappuccino sachets ☕

❤️ World Hypertension Day | 17 May ❤️

Hypertension is often called the “silent killer” because many people may feel completely well while their blood pressure is elevated. Over time, uncontrolled blood pressure can place strain on the heart, blood vessels, kidneys and brain.

Small daily habits can make a meaningful difference:
✔️ Check your blood pressure regularly
✔️ Be mindful of hidden salt in processed foods
✔️ Stay active and hydrated
✔️ Prioritise balanced meals and heart health
✔️ Take prescribed medication consistently

Your health numbers matter: early awareness and prevention can save lives.

🧂 World Salt Awareness Week |
12–18 May 🧂

Did you know that most people consume far more salt than their bodies actually need, often without even realising it.

The good news? Small, sustainable changes can make a big difference 👏

This World Salt Awareness Week, take a moment to become more mindful of hidden salt in everyday foods and start making simple swaps where you can.

Remember: healthy eating is not about perfection — it’s about small habits that add up over time.
