Healing felt impossible for years — not because I wasn't trying, but because I was trying to think my way out of something that lived in my body.

The shoulder that never released.
The breath I didn't know I was holding.
The identity of someone who had to stay ready — even when the threat was gone.

The nervous system doesn't update when the circumstances change. It updates when the body is given the experience of safety.
