Starting oral micronised progesterone can come with an adjustment period.

Many women tolerate it well and may notice calmer sleep, while others experience temporary side effects during the first few weeks. These often improve as the body adjusts.

Taking it correctly can also make a difference to how you feel, so always follow the schedule prescribed specifically for you.

If symptoms remain troublesome, speak to your doctor. Your dose or treatment schedule may need to be reviewed.

Oral micronised progesterone is structurally identical to the progesterone naturally produced by a woman’s body, while synthetic progestins are chemically different and can behave differently in the body.

Current evidence suggests that micronised progesterone may offer a more favourable breast-risk profile, particularly during the first five years of use. Lower risk does not mean zero risk, especially with longer-term treatment. This is because age, environmental and genetic factors still play an important role. Therefore regular screening remains important.

For menopausal hormone therapy, we generally favour a more physiological, individualised approach using transdermal estradiol together with oral micronised progesterone when clinically appropriate.

The right treatment should always be tailored to the individual and monitored by a healthcare professional.

Poly-L-lactic Acid + Hyaluronic Acid combines immediate hydration with long-term collagen stimulation to improve firmness, elasticity, texture and facial contours.

A small amount of Hyaluronic Acid filler was also used in the lips to add hydration and create a soft, refreshed finish.

We loved seeing the gradual improvement in skin quality, with more defined contours, improved firmness and a smoother, more hydrated appearance, while still looking completely like herself.
