Afrivet and the Botswana team recently delivered practical training to SHIELD VET teams in Francistown and Gaborone.

The sessions focused on early disease identification, parasite control, responsible antibiotic use, vitamin and mineral supplementation, as well as practical approaches to managing antimicrobial and antiparasitic resistance.

The week concluded with a training session in the Monwane district covering early disease identification, primary animal healthcare, and heartwater awareness. We were privileged to be joined by the village Kgosi, and the strong turnout and engagement from the community contributed to a highly successful event.

Thank you SHIELD VET, the Monwane community and all participants for their collaboration and enthusiasm in making the week a success.
