Today, we 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 and honour every member of our 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 at Mopani Apteek Monumentpark.

From the 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 faces at the counter to the 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 pharmacists and 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 staff behind the scenes, each person plays a vital role in ensuring our customers receive the best pharmaceutical care and attention. We are proud to call ourselves family, with our owners fully involved in the day to day activities and caring beyond just the business.

Our 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 Irma, Lenese, Yvonne and Charlene, while Sanet and Zelmari dispenses regularly to give the rest a break.
Noleen is our clinic 𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫.
Nelie, Bella and JoAnn are keen to assist in the 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩. Maryna ensure our 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤 is always up to date. Philly keeps the pharmacy 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 and sparkling.
And while Loutjie is the only man, he brings balance by ensuring the 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 runs smoothly and keeps the admin (and girls) in check, and our customers happy with delivering the medicine with care.

Measles is making a comeback! Measles is highly contagious.

Protect yourself & your community by knowing the signs and symptoms:
High fever
Barky cough
Red or bloodshot eyes
Runny nose
Tiredness
Red spots with white centers in your mouth (Koplik’s spots)
Rash
Digestive symptoms, like diarrhea, stomach pain and vomiting
Sore throat
Muscle pain
Headache
Rash: A red, blotchy rash that usually starts on the face and spreads down the body.

There’s no cure and no specific treatment for measles.

How long does measles last?
Measles usually lasts 10 to 14 days if you don’t have complications.

If you suspect you or someone you know has measles, isolate yourself and contact your doctor immediately. Vaccination is the best protection!

Go to the emergency room if you experience:
Difficulty breathing
Chest pain
Sensitivity to light
Neck stiffness
Severe headache
Confusion
Severe vomiting or diarrhea

Can you treat measles at home?
Ask your healthcare provider (or your child’s) how you can safely manage symptoms at home. We suggest:

Taking paracetamol for aches, pains or fever
Getting plenty of rest
Drinking lots of fluids
Gargling with salt water
