Winter can make healthy habits feel a little more difficult, but it doesn’t have to stop your progress.

The secret isn’t motivation—it’s having a plan that works for your lifestyle and goals.

As a dietitian, I help people create realistic, sustainable habits that work through every season of the year. Whether your goal is weight loss, improving your health, managing a medical condition, or simply feeling your best, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Remember: the small choices you make today become the results you see tomorrow. 🍓

Dietitian’s week: Friday - 5 June 2026 🍓
- The behind the scenes of Happy Tummies Dietitian.

Behind every consultation, meal plan, and social media post is a person with a story.

You may know me as a dietitian, but I’m also a wife, an auntie, a lover of the outdoors, a reader, and most importantly, a follower of Jesus.

My faith, family, and the people I love shape who I am and influence the way I care for others every day. They remind me that health is about so much more than numbers on a scale—it’s about living a full, meaningful life.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for allowing me to be part of yours. Whether you’ve been here for a while or you’ve just found my page, I’m so grateful you’re here.

I’d love to know: What’s something about yourself that brings you joy? 🍓

How do we make dietetics more visible? 🍉

I believe it starts with us.

By sharing our knowledge.
By telling the stories behind the science.
By showing people that dietitians do so much more than help with weight loss.

We support people through diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, cancer, pregnancy, childhood nutrition, healthy ageing, sports performance, and so much more.

We need to be present in our communities, on social media, in schools, workplaces, hospitals, clinics, and conversations. We need to show people that nutrition is not just about food—it’s about health, quality of life, and prevention.

The more we educate, advocate, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, the more people will understand the value of dietetics and the impact it can have on their lives.

As dietitians, we have the privilege of changing lives every day. Let’s continue to share that impact and make our profession more visible, one conversation at a time. 🍓

I’d love to hear your thoughts:
How do you think we can make dietetics more visible?

Sometimes we measure success by qualifications, titles, or milestones. As a dietitian, I’ve learned that my greatest professional wins are the lives I’ve been able to touch along the way. 🍊

Every healthier choice, every improved blood result, every patient who feels stronger, more confident, or more in control of their health reminds me why I chose this profession.

Thank you to every patient who has trusted me to walk this journey with them.

Dietetics is more than a job for me.
It’s a purpose. 🍓

Every meal plan I create, every patient I meet, and every conversation I have is an opportunity to help someone live a healthier, happier life.

I have the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life’s biggest challenges - whether it’s managing a medical condition, navigating pregnancy, helping a child grow and thrive, supporting healthy ageing, or building confidence on a weight-loss journey.

For me, nutrition has never been just about food. It’s about people. It’s about education, empowerment, compassion, and helping others create habits that improve their health for years to come.

Seeing a patient achieve a goal, gain confidence, improve their health, or simply feel better in their own body reminds me why I chose this profession.

Dietetics isn’t just what I do. 🍉
It’s the path God put me on and continue to bless me with daily. It’s my passion, my calling, and my way of making a difference - one person, one meal, and one step at a time.

My Calling as a Dietitian 🍓

I didn’t become a dietitian because I love food alone—I became a dietitian because I love people.

My passion has always been helping others feel better, live healthier, and discover that nutrition is about so much more than numbers on a scale. Food has the power to heal, nourish, comfort, energize, and bring families together, and I am privileged to be part of that journey with my patients every day.

Being a dietitian allows me to combine science with compassion. It gives me the opportunity to walk alongside people during some of their most vulnerable moments—whether they are managing a medical condition, learning to nourish their growing family, recovering from illness, or taking their first steps toward a healthier lifestyle.

My purpose is not simply to provide meal plans. My purpose is to educate, empower, encourage, and support people in creating sustainable habits that improve their quality of life. I want my patients to feel heard, understood, and confident in their ability to make choices that support their health.

Every consultation, every message, every success story, and every small victory reminds me why I chose this profession. Helping people build a healthier relationship with food and with themselves is more than a career—it is my calling.

🍓My mission is simple:
To help people nourish their bodies, improve their health, and live their lives to the fullest - one meal, one habit, and one step at a time.

I had the privilege of spending time with the wonderful residents of Magonolia Haven Dienssentrum and Wilgers Retirement Village / Wilgers Aftreeoord - Pretoria

Good nutrition plays an important role at every stage of life, especially as we age. From maintaining muscle strength and supporting immunity to managing chronic conditions and improving quality of life, nutrition remains a key part of healthy ageing.

It was a pleasure sharing nutritional advice, answering questions, and connecting with such incredible individuals. Thank you for the warm welcome, the stories, the laughter, and the wisdom shared.

Aging is a journey that deserves dignity, care, and nourishment. 🌿

I always tell my clients this 👇

You don’t have to eat “perfectly” to see results.

The goal is not restriction — it’s balance.

🥗 80% of the time: nourish your body
🍫 20% of the time: enjoy your life

Because when you try to cut out everything you love…
it becomes unsustainable.

And that’s when the cycle starts:
restriction → cravings → overeating → guilt

Instead, aim for:
âś” consistency
âś” flexibility
âś” long-term habits

That’s where real results happen!
