Hi, I’m Jessie, a qualified mammographer based in Pretoria, South Africa.

I completed my Postgraduate qualification in Mammography in 2016, and since 2021, I’ve been a full-time mammographer at Dr AJ Carstens Mammography & Radiology.

For me, mammography is more than just a medical procedure — it’s a deeply personal experience that deserves time, sensitivity, and respect. Sadly, I’ve seen how often women are rushed through the process, treated like just another number, with little comfort or explanation.

💬 I believe every woman deserves to feel safe, heard, and informed during her mammogram.

📌 And I firmly believe that a mammogram should never feel like torture or be unbearably painful. With the right care, technique, and communication — it doesn’t have to be.

That’s why I started MAMMO MATTERS — to raise awareness, offer education, and create a space where your breast health truly matters.

Let’s shift the experience together. 💕
