[Watch video] A 36-year-old mother of three from Mamelodi, Koketso Moeka, gave birth to triplets- two boys and one girl on the 23rd April 2026 after unexpectedly discovering during delivery that she was carrying three babies.

The unexpected news left her shocked and confused, but the hospital staff quickly provided emotional support. A Psychologist at the hospital also stepped in to counsel and assist her as she processed the birth of the triplets.

Ms Mokeka has appealed for assistance and donations from anyone willing help, as she is unemployed and is now raising six children after the arrival of the triplets. For any donations, please contact our Social Worker Department on 012 841 8377 or Communications Office on 012 841 8400.
