Establishment of a local sports council in Laudium & Erasmia
As per the public meeting in region 4 held on 17 April 2026 by the MMC of Sports, all interested parties are hereby invited to express their interest in joining a local sports council.
The name of the council will be: LESC - Laudium & Erasmia Sports Council
The LESC will be affiliated to the TSC (Tshwane Sports Council), which is the sole representative body meant to help sporting codes to coordinate with the City of Tshwane.
Membership is open to all sporting codes in Laudium and Erasmia *only*.
Some of the objectives of the LESC are:
- serve and function as a coordinating structure for sports development at local level for all sporting codes
- guide and advise on improving quality of sports
- promote sport at school leve & work with schools to achieve this
- guide and support local clubs and federations in their sport development programs
- promote and foster unity, cooperation and collaboration between sport role-players
- assist in identifying high-performing talent & support their development
The LESC invites all local sports clubs (if only one) and sports associations (>1 club) to reach out to us (contact details are provided at the bottom)
Associate members are also welcome to contact us (like corporate social responsibility divisions of private companies or schools that have authority to affiliate as associate members).
