So many customers have been asking why our 200g collagen is R230 yet they have been buying it from many around Durban and Johannesburg for R160.
Sorry to be the barer of bad news but in many of those cases, you have been buying 100g of collagen and been deceived by a label saying it is 250g.
A 250ml jar is sold as 250g by cosmetic suppliers, because water is usually used to determine the volume of the jar. 1ml of water is equal to 1g. But this is not the same for all liquids. A simply example you can check in your kitchen, 2L Sunflower oil or another other you use for cooking will feel much lighter than 2L of water. So 2L of water will feel like a 2kg pack of sugar or rice when you pick it up. 2L of cooking oil will not.
So, just because the collagen is labeled 250g, if it's in a 250ml container you are only buying about 100g of collagen. See our video explainer on our whatsapp or Facebook status
