Dr. Tanwir Jaffer

Dr. Tanwir Jaffer Specialist Surgeon. Providing holistic surgical management for all patients. Dr Tanwir Jaffer is a female specialist surgeon in private practice.

She provides holistic surgical management for her patients from pre-operative work-up and counselling to post-operative wound care and recovery. Communication and understanding are key to her everyday management of all patients. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of the Witwatersrand, obtaining her MBCHB degree in 2013. She then completed her internship and community service

at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, Johannesburg. Dr Jaffer pursued further general surgery training at the University of Pretoria where she became a surgical registrar in 2017 and attained her FCS(SA) and Master of Medine in Surgery (MMed Surgery) in 2021. During her registrar time she presented multiple research papers at surgical congresses.
