Being a single mom isn't always easy. Honestly, motherhood in general is messy—just like birth itself. But we love it, and we wouldn't trade this journey for the world.

Every day, we get up and do the best we can with what we have.

I want to encourage us all to show a little extra kindness to one another this week. We live in a society that expects us to put on a brave face every day, but underneath the surface, someone might be struggling to hold it together.

A small gesture of love can mean everything.

easy home made liquid fertilizer. in a glass jar add:
coffee grounds and/or tea
banana peaks
water
store in dark cupboard for two weeks.
strain the liqued from the solids.
dispose of the solids.
dilute the liquid fertilizer in water and water your plants.

Mild Homemade Sweet Chili Sauce
Ingredients:
2 to 3 Fresh Red Chilies (deseeded and finely chopped)
1/2 Cup White Sugar (or light brown sugar)
1/2 Cup White Vinegar (or Apple C***r Vinegar)
3/4 Cup Water
2 Cloves Garlic (finely minced)
1 tbsp Cornstarch (dissolved in 2 tbsp cold water)
1/2 tsp Salt
Optional: 1 tbsp Tomato Paste or Ketchup (for extra color and sweet depth)

Instructions:
Prep the Chilies: Slice the red chilies lengthwise. Use a spoon to scrape out and discard all the seeds and white membranes to keep the heat mild. Finely chop the remaining red chili skin and garlic.
Simmer the Base: In a small saucepan, combine the chopped chilies, garlic, sugar, vinegar, water, salt, and tomato paste (if using). Place over medium heat and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and the liquid comes to a gentle simmer.
Thicken the Sauce: Stir the cornstarch and cold water mixture until smooth, then pour it slowly into the saucepan while whisking constantly. Keep stirring over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes until the cloudy mixture turns into a thick, glossy red sauce.
Cool and Store: Remove the pot from the heat and allow the sauce to cool completely. Transfer to a clean glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
