A fascial cupping massage is a deeply releasing, treatment designed to work with the fascia — the connective tissue network that surrounds & supports your muscles, organs & entire body.
Using specialised cups, gentle negative pressure is applied to the skin to lift, decompress & mobilise the fascia, rather than simply applying downward pressure as in traditional massage. The cups may be glided across the body or placed statically on areas of tension, helping to encourage movement through restricted tissue.
Potential benefits include:
* Releasing areas of muscular & fascial tension
* Improving circulation & tissue hydration
* Supporting mobility & range of movement
* Reducing the sensation of tightness & stiffness
* Encouraging relaxation & nervous-system regulation
* Supporting the body’s natural recovery & recovery from physical stress
* Bringing greater awareness & ease to areas that feel restricted or held
Fascial cupping can be approached as a slow, mindful & somatic treatment, creating space for the body to release without forcing it. The treatment may be particularly supportive for people experiencing chronic tension, physical stress, restricted movement or a sense of being “stuck” in their body.
What to expect:
Cups may leave temporary circular marks or discolouration on the skin. These are a normal response to the treatment & generally fade over several days. The treatment is tailored to your body & comfort level, with the intention of creating space, movement & release — not pain.
