_Cuts and lacerations can happen at home, work, during sports, or outdoors. Quick first aid helps prevent infection and control bleeding._
*What To Do:*

Wash your hands if possible
β
Apply direct pressure to stop bleeding
β
Rinse the wound with clean running water
β
Remove visible dirt or debris carefully
β
Cover with a sterile dressing or bandage
*For Minor Cuts:*
* Keep the wound clean and dry
* Change dressings regularly
* Watch for signs of infection
β οΈ *Seek Medical Help If:*
* Bleeding won't stop after 10β15 minutes of pressure
* The cut is deep, wide, or gaping
* You can see fat, muscle, or bone
* The injury was caused by a dirty or rusty object
* The wound is on the face, hands, or over a joint
* Your tetanus vaccination is not up to date
*Watch for Infection:*
π© Redness spreading around the wound
π© Swelling
π© Pus or discharge
π© Increasing pain
π© Fever
*Do NOT:*
β Put dirt, ash, or unapproved substances on the wound
β Ignore deep cuts that may need stitches
*Remember:*
