Tips for freezing food ❄️

Flexible plastic ice cube trays are ideal for freezing baby food, but make sure that you wrap these in polythene freezer bags. Once frozen knock out and store the cubes in well-sealed freezer bags and label with the content and expiry date.

If you freeze food in ice cube trays, you can defrost two individual flavours and mix them together for different flavour combinations.

Never refreeze meals that have already been frozen. The exception to this is that raw frozen food can be returned to the freezer once it is cooked.

Frozen baby purees will keep till 6 weeks.

🧡 Butternut squash is a rich source of vitamin A (beta-carotene) and vitamin C, and is a good source of vitamin E, vitamin B6, manganese and magnesium.

🧡 These nutrients are essential for babies for cell growth, eye health, immune function and bone mineralization, as well as red blood cell formation.

Easy Strawberry Yogurt Bites 🍓

Save this one for later! 👉🏼

You will need:
- 5 large strawberries washed and cut (with leaves removed)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 cup Greek yogurt

Instructions:
1. Add strawberries and honey into a food processor and mix until a puree forms. You will need about ¼ cup puree for this recipe. Save any leftover for later use.
2. Mix together puree and yogurt in a bowl and scoop mixture into a piping bag.
3. Pipe out tiny dollops of yogurt on the lined pan. Freeze for about 1 hour and serve!

Yogurt is a great food choice once your baby is introduced to solids. Yogurt is safe for babies as long as you place close attention to nutrition labels and watch for any allergic reactions.
