Spring gets everyone moving again β and that's usually when the knee you'd been ignoring starts making itself known.
Most people assume it's the old rugby injury coming back. Sometimes it is. Often it isn't.
Injury pain arrives suddenly and you can usually name the day it started. Arthritis builds slowly, with no clear beginning, and it's stiffest first thing in the morning.
The two are managed differently, so it's worth knowing which one you're actually dealing with.
