This July, in honour of Nelson Mandela Day, AfroCentric, together with Medscheme and Pharmacy Direct, answered the call of the 2026 theme, “It’s still in our hands to combat poverty and inequity,” by supporting Early Childhood Development initiatives and organisations serving vulnerable children and communities.

Across the country, our regional teams partnered with remarkable organisations serving their local communities:

📍Golang Education Outreach (Roodepoort Team)
📍Botshabelo Babies Home (Pharmacy Direct Team)
📍Cheshire Homes Chatsworth (Durban Team)
📍Thusong Projects (Vereeniging Team)
📍Zenazi Ndinani Organisation (Cape Town Team)

Through donations of wellness essentials and learning resources, we contributed to creating opportunities for children and families to learn, grow and thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to all our AfroCitizens, leadership, and partners for their dedication, and to our beneficiaries for welcoming us into their spaces. Together, we honour Madiba’s legacy by keeping the fight against poverty and inequity firmly in our hands.
