MEDICAL EMERGENCY | BOITEKONG | RUSTENBURG
Saturday, 5 September 2026

At approximately 22:34 on Saturday evening, 5 September 2026, ResMed Emergency Medical Services received a call reporting a 6-month-old baby experiencing difficulty breathing and a high fever.

Our Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, our ALS Paramedic assessed the young patient and provided the necessary medical care before preparing the baby for transportation.

Fortunately, the baby was found to be in a stable condition and was safely transported to Medicare Private Hospital for further medical assessment, treatment and ongoing care.

We wish the baby a full and speedy recovery and extend our best wishes to the family during this time.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT | R24 / R30 TURN-OFF | RUSTENBURG
Saturday, 5 September 2026

At approximately 20:10 on Saturday evening, 5 September 2026, ResMed Emergency Medical Services received a call reporting a motor vehicle accident that had just occurred at the R24 and R30 turn-off, with information that two patients were entrapped.

ResMed Emergency Medical Services, together with other private ambulance services as well as fire and rescue teams, were immediately dispatched to the scene to provide emergency assistance.

Upon arrival, our Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance found that one patient had sustained severe injuries. Our ALS Paramedic immediately intervened and provided critical emergency medical treatment to the patient.

The patient was treated and stabilised on scene before being transported to Medicare Private Hospital for further medical treatment and ongoing care.

We extend our sincere appreciation to LenCo PTY Ltd for their valued support in helping ensure that the patient received the necessary medical care.

We wish the patient a full and speedy recovery.

At approximately 21:00 on Friday evening, 4 September 2026, ResMed Emergency Medical Services received a call reporting a motor vehicle accident that had occurred on the R24 at the KFC traffic lights, Rustenburg, with information that multiple patients were involved.

ResMed Emergency Medical Services, together with other private-sector ambulance services, was immediately dispatched to the scene to provide emergency medical assistance.

Upon arrival, our emergency medical personnel assessed the patients and found that one patient had sustained moderate injuries.

The patient was assessed, treated and stabilised on scene before being safely transported to Medicare Private Hospital for further medical treatment and evaluation.
