This week, ResMed Emergency Medical Services was proud to provide professional medical standby services during an event attended by the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie.

Our highly prepared team was on standby to provide immediate medical assistance and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the school children, guests, officials, and members of the public in attendance.

ResMed EMS was also entrusted with providing medical standby for South African music legend Arthur Mafokate, ensuring dedicated emergency medical support throughout the proceedings.

From community events to high profile engagements, ResMed EMS continues to raise the standard of private emergency medical care in the North West.

INTER-FACILITY TRANSFER | MAHIKENG TO RUSTENBURG

At approximately 16:41 on Saturday afternoon, ResMed Emergency Medical Services was contacted by Rocket Air Ambulance Service to provide ground support for the transfer of a critical patient from Mahikeng to Rustenburg.

Information received indicated that a critically ill patient was being transferred to Rustenburg by air. A ResMed EMS ambulance, together with Secure Fire, was dispatched to the designated landing zone to provide the necessary ground support.

Upon the aircraft’s arrival, our ambulance and emergency medical practitioners assisted with the safe transfer of the patient from the landing zone and transported the patient by road to the receiving hospital in Rustenburg.

The patient was safely handed over to the receiving medical team for further medical treatment and ongoing care.

We extend our appreciation to Rocket Air Ambulance Service and Secure Fire for their cooperation and teamwork in ensuring a safe and coordinated patient transfer.

We wish the patient a full and speedy recovery.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT | R510 BOITEKONG MALL | RUSTENBURG

At approximately 14:28 on Saturday afternoon, ResMed Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on the R510 near Boitekong Mall, Rustenburg.

Information received indicated that two vehicles, including a taxi, had been involved in a collision. A ResMed EMS ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, our emergency medical personnel assessed the situation and found that several passengers had sustained minor injuries.

The injured patients were assessed and treated on scene before being transported to the nearest appropriate medical facility by ResMed Emergency Medical Services, together with other responding ambulance services, where they will receive further medical treatment and evaluation.

We wish all the injured patients a full and speedy recovery.
