The secret isn’t being a chef.

It’s having a system.

I’ve worked in restaurants, ski hotels and on luxury yachts around the world.

People often ask how chefs make cooking look so effortless.

The answer isn’t talent.

It’s structure.

Before service starts, there’s already a plan.

The menu is decided.
The ingredients are ready.
Everyone knows what comes next.

At home, I cook exactly the same way.

I don’t decide what to make every night.

I follow a weekly rhythm.

Monday → Sheet Pan Simplicity
Tuesday → Protein + Two Veg
Wednesday → One-Pot Ease
Thursday → Nourish Bowls
Friday → Feel-Good Favourites

The theme is already chosen.

And I only have 4 recipes per theme.

No huge recipe file.
Nothing overwhelming.

The ingredients flow from one meal to the next.

Making dinner becomes easier because the thinking has already been done.

Stop choosing dinner every night.

Choose a theme instead.

Tonight’s dinner is my Lemon & Herb Chicken Orzo.

But the recipe isn’t really the point.

The reason this meal is easy is because it’s One-Pot Ease night.

I don’t sit down every week trying to come up with five completely different dinners.

I simply choose a meal that fits the theme.

Monday → Sheet Pan Simplicity

Tuesday → Protein + Two Veg

Wednesday → One-Pot Ease

Thursday → Nourish Bowls

Friday → Feel-Good Favourites

The theme does most of the thinking for me.

Instead of staring into the fridge wondering what to cook, I already know the type of meal I’m making.

Less decision fatigue.
Less mental clutter.
Less chance of ordering takeaways because I’m too exhausted to think.

Most people don’t need more recipes.

They need a simpler system.

If healthy eating requires constant willpower, you’re doing it the hard way.

I’ve seen teenage girls, university students and billionaires on super yachts struggle with food.

But it’s not just them.
Let’s rewind to high school…

I tried the cabbage soup diet, the military diet, keto, intermittent fasting... you name it.

But after studying Consumer Science, working as a chef, and watching women from all walks of life struggle with food, I realised something:

The problem isn’t you.

The problem is that diets create obsession, restriction and guilt.

The more rules we follow, the more food takes up space in our minds.

What finally worked wasn’t another diet.

It was learning to focus on nourishment instead of restriction. Balance instead of perfection. Health instead of weight loss.

And perhaps most importantly, reducing the mental load around food.

Deciding what to make.
Trying not to waste groceries.
