Jean Guthrie Beauty Care is a Direct Selling Company founded on Christian principles and distributes its products through independent Consultants who operate their own business under the Jean Guthrie umbrella. Jean held the position of Chairman of the Direct Selling Education Foundation and Director of the DSA from 2000-2007. Jean was selected as a finalist in the business category of South Africa's Woman of '97. She is also featured in the Mail & Guardian 2006 Y'ello Book, a Who's Who of leading South African Women. In 2007, Jean was selected as one of three finalists in the Consumer Business Category of CEO's, "SA's Most Influential Women in Business & Government Awards".
