👨👩👧👦 As parents, we all want to have better conversations with our kids and learn more about their day-to-day experiences. But sometimes, it can be hard to know where to start.
🤔 That's why we've put together a list of open-ended questions you can ask your kids at the end of the day, based on their age and stage of development. Whether you have a toddler, a tween, or a teen, these questions will help you connect with your child on a deeper level and show them that you care.
👶 For preschoolers, try asking questions like "What did you have the most fun doing today?" or "Did you see or experience anything new today?"
🧒 For tweens, you could ask "What was the best thing that happened to you today?" or "Is there something that you accomplished today that you found challenging or rewarding?"
👦👧 And for teens, consider questions like "Did anything happen today that made you feel proud of yourself?" or "What are you looking forward to tomorrow?"
👉 The key is to keep the questions open-ended and non-judgmental, and to really listen to your child's answers. By doing so, you can create a safe and supportive environment where your child feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings with you.
