A year ago, if you had told me that I would be competing in a Hyrox event, I would have laughed. 😅

In November 2024, I joined in Rivonia during one of the most difficult seasons of my life.

I was grieving the loss of someone I loved deeply. My stress and anxiety levels were through the roof, I had gained weight, my cortisol levels were sky-high, and if I'm honest, I wasn't feeling great about myself.

That's when I signed up for the 28-Day Fitness Challenge at Fitranx.

From day one, was there to motivate me, encourage me and push me beyond what I thought I was capable of. She challenged me in all the right ways, but always with kindness, patience and genuine care.

By the end of those 28 days, I was completely hooked.

I moved into 's more advanced classes, and before I knew it, he had convinced me to enter my first Powerlifting Competition, then two Deadly Dozen events, and now my very first Hyrox.

What started as an attempt to improve my fitness became so much more.

It transformed my body.

It transformed my confidence.

It transformed my mindset.

Most importantly, it helped me find myself again.

A huge thank you to Rob, Taylor and the entire Fitranx team for believing in me long before I believed in myself. You have changed my life in ways that go far beyond fitness.

And of course, a massive thank you to my incredible Hyrox partner, ❤️

She entered us without me even knowing, then somehow convinced me it was a good idea with cute matching Hyrox outfits. 😂

Lauren is strong, fast, resilient and has endurance for days. Every time I wanted to slow down, she kept us moving forward.

There is absolutely no way I could have done this without her.

Finishing Hyrox represents much more than completing a race.

It represents healing.
It represents growth.
It represents stepping outside of my comfort zone.
It represents what can happen when you simply keep showing up.

And the craziest part?

I already can't wait for the next one. 💪🔥
