Q: Is it painful?
A: At Exclusively You Aesthetics we use medical strength numbing cream on the face to ensure complete comfort and a pain-free treatment.
Q: How will I look after the treatment? How soon after can I wear make-up?
A: Immediately after the micro needling, you will feel a sunburn sensation. You can experience redness, mild swelling around the eye area, tight warm feeling and can sensitive to the touch. This will slowly start to improve anything from 2-4 hours after the treatment. Client has a choice of a medical grade foundation make up to be applied post treatment, but we recommend that no cosmetic make up should be applied for the rest of the day of treatment. The next day, you could experience slight redness, and a dry tight feeling.
Q: What can I use on my skin post treatment?
A: Very important tip is to NOT touch your skin with bare fingers! Clean hands thoroughly before touching your skin.
Use a very gentle soap-free cleanser to wash your skin and pat gently to dry.
Use the prescribed post-treatment cream at night and morning to help relive the dry feeling. It is highly recommended to use Hyaluronic Acid during this time.
Very important to use a SPF 50 immediately after treatment and everyday there after.
Avoid using products that contain AHA, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Retinol, Vit C up until 5-7 days post treatment.
Q: Can I do micro needling over my eyes and lips?
A: Yes, most certainly! Dermapen is the only in-salon treatment safe enough to go directly over the eye lid and up to the lash line. It is very effective over your lip area too, without any harm.
Q: What is the difference between the Dermapen 4 and other micro-needlig devices on offer?
A: Most importantly the Dermapen guarantees patient safety! It has a unique anticontamination management system which ensures no cross-contamination between patients. Each patient receives their own needle cartridge at each treatment. These cartridges have 16 needles, giving you 33% more needling action, almost double what other devices offer. Meaning more collagen stimulation and superior results.
