As a Registered Counsellor and Play Therapist I have worked with a broad spectrum of patients dealing with a variety of challenges. I Specialise in:

Screening and identification of mental health challenges
Containment of presenting difficulties
Psycho-education and training
Promotion of primary psychosocial well-being
Identifying clients requiring more sophisticated or advanced psychological assessment and referring such clients to appropriately qualified and registered professionals
Enhancing personal functioning of children, adults, families and communities
Performing a range of supportive and compensatory psychological interventions with children, adults, families and communities
Parents connecting with their children
Strengthening family functioning
The impact parents have on the heart and mind of their child
Greater awareness of age appropriate behaviour
Connecting and learning the art of “play” again
Parent-child attachment
Trauma work (both short term and long term)
Developing coping mechanisms by implementing suitable planning skills
Dealing with guilt
Providing counselling in conjunction with interdisciplinary support teams
Report writing and providing feedback to clients on interventions
