Pap Smear Drive August T&Cs:

R800 includes:
• Consultation for cervical cancer screening
• Pap smear
• HPV screening
• Laboratory costs for the HPV test

What is a Pap smear?
A Pap smear is a screening test that collects cells from the cervix to identify abnormalities that may be associated with cervical cancer. HPV screening checks for high-risk types of Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which cause most cervical cancers.

How is it performed?
A speculum is gently inserted into the va**na to visualise the cervix, and a small brush is used to collect cervical cells. The procedure is quick and may cause mild discomfort or light spotting.

Please note:
This is a screening consultation only and is specifically for a Pap smear and HPV screening. It is not a general gynaecological consultation. Any other concerns or symptoms require a separate appointment.

A screening test does not guarantee that all abnormalities or cancers will be detected.

A positive HPV result does not mean you have cervical cancer. If your result requires further investigation or treatment, this will be discussed with you. Any additional consultations, investigations, colposcopy, biopsies or treatment are not included in the R800 and will incur additional costs.

Payment:
R800 is payable in cash at the practice on the day of your appointment. You may submit your invoice to your medical aid for reimbursement, subject to your plan and available benefits. Medical-aid reimbursement is not guaranteed.
