ABOUT THE ROLE
MedicoHerbs Group is looking for a confident and motivated salesperson to join our team. We are a small business and we are growing, but we need someone to join our team who can drive the sales.
The main focus is simple: find new business opportunities and turn them into customers.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, cold calling, researching potential buyers, following up on leads and maintaining an active sales pipeline. You will also assist with enquiries from our existing customers.
Training on our products and internal systems will be provided, but preference will be given to individuals who have experience in herbal products or natural remedies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Research and identify potential new customers
• Cold call and contact prospective buyers
• Generate your own leads through telephone, email and online research
• Introduce MedicoHerbs and our products to potential customers
• Follow up on leads, quotations and previous conversations
• Maintain an organised and active sales pipeline
• Prepare and send quotations and product information
• Develop new wholesale, bulk and private-label opportunities
• Build relationships with prospective and existing customers
• Work towards agreed sales targets
• Keep basic records of leads, follow-ups and converted sales
CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND ADMINISTRATION — APPROXIMATELY 20%
• Respond to existing customer enquiries by telephone, email and WhatsApp
• Assist with general order and product enquiries
• Follow up on customer matters where necessary
• Complete basic sales-related administration and paperwork
• Occasionally assist with expos or promotional events
Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We don't expect you to know everything about herbs or our systems — we can teach you that.
Previous B2B, telesales, wholesale or business-development experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Matric or equivalent
• Previous direct sales experience
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role
• Comfortable with cold calling and outbound sales
• Excellent telephone and communication skills
• Excellent computer and administrative skills
